Drive traffic to your site by article writing

I started article writing in Ezine about 1 month ago to check if it can drive traffic to my site.
I wrote 3 articles related to internet marketing and got 48 views and 4 URL clicks up till now.
Not bad for the number of views but the URL clicks are low. But I believed it will pick up once I got more articles.
Article writing is one way to generate free traffic to your site as proven. There are other free methods as well like using videos on youtube or participating in forums.
