How to setup your own wordpress blog?

Here are the steps that I took:
1) Sign up for a domain from a web host. I got mine from IXWebhosting. See my review on IXWebhosting.
2) Depending on your webhost, you can use the built in feature in the control panel to automatically install the wordpress for you. You have to check with you webhost.
3) Just follow the steps here to setup your wordpress blog. Do not miss any steps!
4) Once you can login to wordpress then you are in business. If you encounter any problem during the login, it could be your MYSQL not setup properly as wordpress uses MYSQL database. Check your wp-config.php to see if it points to the correct database name, user and password.
The default theme for a new wordpress blog is quite simple. I got mine free from gathersuccess.com
